Objectives:
Upon completion of the activity, participants should be better able to:
1. Describe the key elements of competency-based medical education (CBME) and its potential value to learners, patients, and society.
2. Identify key gaps and opportunities in the implementation of CBME, including the lack of equity in assessment systems.
3. Describe at least one application of stakeholder co-design methods to create more equitable assessment systems to support CBME.
4. Identify opportunities at University of Minnesota to participate in co-creating more equitable assessment systems in graduate medical education.
