Objectives:
Upon completion of the activity, participants should be better able to:
- Examine the Historical Development and Ongoing Advancements in Cardiac Imaging: Understand the origins, technological evolution, and current trends in cardiac imaging, with a particular focus on innovations that have shaped diagnosis and treatment of congenital heart disease.
- Evaluate the Role of 3D Imaging and Virtual Reality in Medical Decision-Making for Congenital Heart Disease: Appreciate how 3D data and virtual reality technologies enhance clinical decision-making and surgical planning for patients with congenital heart defects
- Enhance Medical Education Through Immersive Learning Technologies: Recognize the value of using 3D and virtual reality technologies in medical education to teach learners about congenital heart disease, improve their understanding of complex cardiac anatomy, and provide an interactive learning environment that enhances engagement and retention.
