The Department of English presented writers Franny Choi, Bao Phi, Margaret Rhee, and moderator May Lee-Yang discussing how Asian Americans have been/are represented in visions of
the future, including how they are depicting themselves. Event took place online 3:30 pm November 15, 2021. Choi is the
author of poetry collections Soft Science and Floating, Brilliant, Gone.
Phi has published two poetry collections (Sông I Sing and Thousand Star
Hotel) and three children’s books. Rhee is the author of the poetry
collection Love, Robot. English BA and MFA alum Lee-Yang's
theater-based works include The Korean Drama Addict’s Guide to Losing
Your Virginity and Confessions of a Lazy Hmong Woman.
