Kristen Mark, PhD, MPH, Rashid Mfinanga, & Maggie Pushner-Hardman, present: Tanzabilities: Improving Sexual and Reproductive Health for People with Disabilities in Tanzania

Tanzania faces critical challenges in sexual and reproductive health (SRH), marked by both limited access to quality care and adverse SRH health outcomes. People with disabilities (PWD) are particularly vulnerable to these concerns, and while national policy protects the rights of PWD in healthcare settings, policy implementation remains inadequate because healthcare providers often lack the tools and knowledge needed for inclusive SRH delivery. To address this gap, we will present qualitative interview and focus group data from Tanzabilities, a multi-year project that aims to create and test a training curriculum for future healthcare providers in Tanzania that equips them with the skills needed to deliver equitable SRH care for PWD in the country. Implications of these findings and processes for integration into the curriculum development aim will be discussed.
