In celebration of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, the College of Biological Sciences and the Textile Center hosted Cedar Creek artist in residence Cheri Stockinger. During her residency year, Cheri created a series of quilts inspired by the unique history of the field station including the story of Eleanor Lindeman, the wife of Raymond Lindeman whose discovery about how energy flows through aquatic ecosystems set the state for modern ecology. Stockinger discussed her approach to the project and the stories behind each quilt, and answered questions about her sources of inspiration and her creative choices.
